E-mail to send to all your Republican friends
(This post was neither authored nor approved by the leadership of Republicans for Obama. It is simply a posting in a public forum.)
Attention All Texas Republicans and Independents!!
On March 4th, Texas Republicans and Independents will have an opportunity to end Hillary Clinton's (and Bill's) presidential ambitions once and for all!
Since Texas has on open primary, Republicans and Independents should sign in at their polling place and request a Democratic ballot. They should then vote for Barack Obama. Even James Carville admits that if Hillary loses Texas, "she's done!" Republicans can help make this a reality!!! Just think, no more Clintons in the White House!
Voting Democratic this one time will have NO effect on your ability to vote in the next Republican primary or obviously on your vote in November. Since John McCain has the Republican nomination locked up, voting for McCain or Huckabee at this point will have no effect on the outcome on the Republican side.
After you vote during early voting or on March 4th, you ARE NOT done! Report back to your regular polling place at 7PM on March 4th to sign the Barack Obama list for caucus delegates. In a little known Texas voting quirk, 67 delegates to the Democratic convention will be seated because of these caucuses. This is a full one-third of the total number of Texas delegates. For Hillary to lose, she has to lose the primary votes AND the caucus votes. I urge you to vote against Hillary Clinton by voting for Barack Obama.
Please forward this e-mail to all your Republican and Independent friends so that we can help ensure the Clinton's defeat on March 4th!!!

I am a Republican, but I am
Sorry, Jason. Andrew is
Sorry, Jason. Andrew is right. It's neither immoral nor unethical. You can vote for whomever you want. Now, if you're going to vote under several different names or try to vote in more than one state, that's unethical. That's fraud. But if a Republican wants to choose to vote blue instead of red in this year's primary, he/she has the right to do so.
Lots of states have open
Jason, Think - This is not
Yes it is unethical and it
Yes it is unethical and it is dishonest. I don't care if you are a democrat, you are giving people advice that hurts the Democratic party.
If you are a Republican, I can see why you would vote for Obama. You all will annihilate
him in the November. That is how shallow this man is.

I don't understand this. If your state allows unaffiliated voting there is nothing unethical or dishonest about this in the least.
We have come to a point where lifelong republicans like myself have been disenfranchised by their party and are looking for a person that is not owned by the special interests and can also united the country.

Who ever you are, I do wish
Who ever you are, I do wish you and your candidate well as I choose to celebrate our democratic process but not by dragging others down. We Americans have differences of opinions but there are healthy ways to express ideas. I would suggest trying less negative and name calling language to gather support for your views!!

BJ, where did all of that
BJ, where did all of that come from?? One of the main things Obama has talked about is bringing jobs home to America....stopping tax breaks to those companies that outsource jobs. Never have I heard anything about sending the jobs to Africa or any other continent or nation.
Obamas is supported by his
Obamas is supported by his Church Leadership of Dr. Rev. Wright! Dr. Wright's church is firmly entreanched in the premise that they support a black America, a Black agenda, and support to Africa, first and foremost! Look up his name in your search and you will find his information.

These events are set within the broader story line of an alleged Muslim plot to overthrow the Kibaki government, which is friendly to the United States and the West, and replace the secular constitution of Kenya with sharia law, creating a haven for al-Qaida -- which blew up the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi a decade ago and still operates there, according to American diplomats. During the Kenyan election, the Christian evangelical movement in Kenya circulated a "memorandum of understanding" allegedly signed by Odinga and a group of Muslim clerics that would commit his government to instituting Muslim strictures against pork and alcohol, setting up sharia courts and ending cooperation against terrorism with Western governments.
Odinga claims to be Obamas cousin, and Obama claims not to be Muslim.
It is true that Obama, whose Father's family is Luo, lent support to the opposition leader during a visit to Kenya two years ago -- and that they have maintained contact ever since. While that gaffe infuriated the Kibaki regime, it proved only that Obama lacked diplomatic expertise.
The Kenya tale portrays Obama as a callow politician with dubious associations, who cannot be trusted with power.

BJ I have researched all
BJ I have researched all of your false information with reputable sources, and will leave you to your rant.......I know the truth.
I will not be answering you again. Some people cannot be reasoned with.
Good night.
I too have researched what
I too have researched what those of you who keep posting want to say about Obama. Frankly the information they are posting about the hospital in Chicago is from 2005. Come on you have no current facts about that to shore up your cause. Yet you will stand behind Hilary Clinton with her I did not say that about NAFTA I really meant BLAH BLAH is what I hear from her. She is the true politician. Groomed to mis-lead you. Go to project vote and really look up her voting record and compare it to what she claims to stand for and who she is. The are so far out of alignment it can not even be compared to being on the same planet. All of those who are mud slinging. One of the reasons as a staunch Republican that I will vote for Obama is that I want a different stance on someone who has not catered to different groups and changed his message based on the polls and trying to please one group or another. He comes to the table as he is and says this is my message this is who I am. Take me or leave me. It has been decades since we have seen someone give us that. I will not say I can commit to vote for him in Novemeber I will see his message and McCain's message that is why we have the freedom to vote. What I can say that as of today and as of March 4th he is who I choose to be president. If more information comes out and change my mind then that is my right and freedom of choice the founding fathers gave me.
Stop slinging mud at each other and just try and express an opinion with respect to each other.
Check the site out and see exactly how each of them has voted on the issues that matter most to you. Then decide for your self from there. Each of them has strength and weakness. My bottom line is who can re-unite this country, bring our soldiers home to shore up our home front, and help to provide the healthcare that so many of us Americans are lacking. At this point I do not think either McCain, or Clinton have the bipartisan message or the right desire to do so. Looke forward to your comments about my stance.

Agreeing with Erik~the
Agreeing with Erik~the "shame on you" rhetoric on a truthful flyer is about theatrics. She went off on a topic that was last months news. I wouldn't want to be her, trying every last ditch effort to figure out what went wrong, but you can't keep changing a message...and that's why I love Obama even over everyone he came up against on both sides. He's keep the same message when they were up and when they were down. He's authentic, and I'll take that over anyone. Even my McCain who I did have a lot of respect for has to pander to the conservative side (the radical conservative side) and he's lost his authenticity. Bummer for him. Barack will totally rock the General Election because at least he hasn't had to change posters and repainted his bus. When McCain even says Fired Up Ready to Go, how will he be a strong contender?
This is an amazing time, and I am so glad I can say I was with Obama from the beginning of this year. (when I caucused). I was undecided until then. We had like 15 people to chose from, then!!! He had me at "HOPE". And I am not duped!
Obama has no message he

BJ, I am not going to even try again to tell you that actual facts that are out there for anyone to find. You obviously have a very racist agenda, and there would be absolutely no point to in trying enlighten you.
You have the right to vote for the candidate of your choice, just as I have. Please notice that I am not saying inflamatory and untrue things about your candidate as you are about mine.
Have a nice life.

All I can say is that is Obama wins the Democratic primaries, I will vote Repulican, as I cannot vote for Obama! I must pick the lesser of two evils. I am truly sorry to have been the one to speak on the problems with Obama, but Living in the Chicago area, you see things with your own eyes! I consider myself an independant. I think the black people are a proud race and have always admired Black leaders in this country, who truly wish for an equal and fair America. If Colin Powel had run for President, he would have had my vote!
BJ,Any comments about Obama
BJ,
Any comments about Obama coming from Jesse Jackson Jr. have no weight with me on any subject. He is a huckster and a controversy hype machine. He makes the most outrageous claims just to create attention for his propaganda empire. Quite frankly, Jesse Jackson doesn't want racial harmony: that would put him out of a job.
Your comments about his friends "threatening" Tavis Smiley are interesting. Can you point me to a news article on that subject?
I believe that Obama wants to pull together Americans of all races, creeds, and socioeconomic persuasions. That scares the hell out of people and organizations that owe their existence to the current racial divide. This is born out in statements from certain segments of this ilk like Chude-Sokei that Obama is not "Black Enough" This is a reoccurring theme among certain members of the Black community with the same kinds of vested interests: http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1584736,00.html
My favorite quote from this Time article is this: "Back in the real world, Obama is married to a black woman. He goes to a black church. He's worked with poor people on the South Side of Chicago, and still lives there. That someone given the escape valve of biraciality would choose to be black, would see some beauty in his darker self and still care more about health care and public education than reparations and Confederate flags is just too much for many small-minded racists, both black and white, to comprehend."
As far as "not being proud of being an American" well there are some issues right now that make that harder than it has been in recent memory... I'm still "proud to be an American, but that perspective taken to extremes, excuses all sorts of moral abuses.

Scott

I also find it extremely interesting that the "nastygrams" are coming from Hillary supporters as opposed to Republicans.

I have no idea what you're trying to allege but we don't remove any posts. I'm sure if you bother to peruse the forum, rather than just the front page, you'll find what you seek.
RFO neither authored nor authorized the emails causing the ruckus. We just have a public forum, and, as is common in public forums, people post all kind of stuff. We have people posting all kinds of false mythology about Obama, for example. We don't delete that stuff either.
There is no doubt that this

Now hear this!
I am going to explain this very clearly from my point of view.....this was a site where Republican Obama supporters gathered to disscuss issues, the difficulties we encounteras Republicans for Obama, and ways to help the campaign. As we are starting to get publicity, people seem to be coming here who have a different agenda. There is nothing the admin. can do about it, short of violating the rights of posters to express themselves, which I am proud to say they do not do. If someone from either party wants to come in and suggest "strategic" (for lack of a better word) methods, so be it. If someone wants to come in here and make rude and insulting posts, accusing us of things that never occured to us, so be it. I don't agree with doing either of those things. If you choose to let bitterness, anger and partisanship dominate your views, so be it. Just know that this is just what Obama is trying to change. I totally support him in that, and will support him all the way to the November general election.
