Relearning to See by Thomas Quakenbush

(Quakenbush formally directed a natural vision institute in the San Francisco Bay Area.) 

On a more philosphical note:

The Art of Seeing by Aldous Huxley.

Huxley, who wrote the classic Brave New World, used the Bates Method to restore his own failing eyesight.
